Privacy policy.

Last updated 17 June 2026

This policy explains what personal data Oadio collects when you visit our site, get in touch, or buy radio hosting, a website, a custom build or consulting, and how we use, share and protect it. Plain English, no surprises.

Who we are

This website (oadio.com) and the services on it are operated by Oadio (“Oadio”, “we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy or data-protection question, including the requests below, email hello@oadio.com.

What we collect

  • Enquiries. When you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address and the contents of your message.
  • Purchases & billing. When you buy a plan or service, our payment processor collects your name, email, billing address and card details. We never see or store your full card number, payment is handled on Stripe’s secure checkout.
  • Radio hosting accounts. To run your station we hold your account login, station settings, the audio you upload, and operational logs such as listener counts and connection (IP) data generated by the streaming platform.
  • Websites, builds & consulting. The information, files, logins and content you share with us so we can deliver the work.
  • Technical data. Standard server and security logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages requested) generated automatically by our hosting and CDN. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

  • provide, host and support the services you’ve bought (legal basis: performance of a contract);
  • respond to your enquiries and provide quotes (legitimate interests);
  • take payment, issue receipts and manage subscriptions (contract and legal obligation);
  • keep our services secure and prevent abuse, fraud and attacks (legitimate interests);
  • meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers (“processors”) we need to run Oadio. Each handles your data under its own terms and security standards:

  • Stripe, payments and subscription billing. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
  • Resend, delivering contact-form emails to us. See Resend’s privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare, website hosting, CDN, streaming delivery and DDoS protection. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

We may also disclose data where required by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the UK (for example in the United States). Where personal data is transferred abroad, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.

Cookies

Oadio’s pages don’t set advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Payment is handled on Stripe’s secure checkout, so card details never touch our site. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the contact form from bots; it may set a strict, short-lived functional cookie as part of the security check. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the security check may then not complete.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it: for the life of your account or project, plus any period required for support, disputes, and our legal and tax obligations (UK financial records are generally kept for six years). When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access your data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to certain processing; and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@oadio.com and we’ll respond within the time the law allows.

If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Children

Our services are sold to businesses and adults. They are not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the current version; significant changes will be highlighted on this page or notified to account holders.
