Terms of service.
Last updated 17 June 2026
These terms govern your use of Oadio’s services, radio hosting, websites, custom builds and consulting. By buying or using a service, you agree to them. They’re written plainly, but they’re still a contract, so please read them.
1. Who we are
These terms are between you (the “Customer”) and Oadio (“Oadio”, “we”, “us”), operator of oadio.com. You can reach us any time at hello@oadio.com. Our services are aimed at businesses and other professional users.
2. Our services
- Radio hosting, Shoutcast/Icecast streaming on the AzuraCast control panel (AutoDJ, analytics, web player), sold as a monthly or annual subscription across our Starter, Pro and Broadcaster plans.
- Websites, fixed-price, one-off website builds (Landing and Business), and Ecommerce builds quoted individually.
- Custom builds, bespoke web apps, integrations and automations, scoped and quoted per project.
- Consulting, hourly advice, one-off strategy days, and monthly/annual retainers.
Each plan’s features and limits (such as storage, listener count and bitrate) are described on our site and form part of these terms.
3. Pricing & VAT
Prices on our site are shown excluding VAT. Where it applies, UK VAT (currently 20%) is added at checkout and itemised on your receipt. We may change our prices, but a change won’t affect a current subscription period you’ve already paid for.
4. Payment & billing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By paying, you authorise the charge and confirm you’re allowed to use the payment method. Subscriptions bill in advance and renew automatically, monthly or annually, until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and update your card, through the billing portal. If a payment fails, we may suspend the service until it’s resolved.
5. Subscriptions, renewals & cancellation
You can cancel a subscription (radio hosting or a consulting retainer) at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. Annual plans are billed up front and include three months free compared with monthly billing. We don’t generally refund part-used subscription periods (see section 9).
6. Radio hosting: acceptable use
When you host a station with us, you agree that:
- You are responsible for music licensing. You must hold all rights and licences required to broadcast your content in your territory (for example PRS for Music and PPL in the UK, or your local equivalents). Oadio does not provide these licences.
- You won’t stream unlawful, infringing, defamatory or hateful content, or anything that breaches a third party’s rights.
- You’ll stay within your plan’s limits (storage, listeners, bitrate). If you consistently exceed them, we’ll ask you to upgrade.
- You won’t use the service to attack, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to any system.
We may suspend or terminate a station that breaches this section, that we’re legally required to remove, or that threatens the stability or security of our platform. Where practical, we’ll warn you first.
7. Websites & custom builds
We scope and quote build work up front. You agree to provide the content, assets, access and feedback we need to do the job; delays in providing these may move the timeline. Larger projects may be staged into milestones, each approved before we continue. Intellectual property in a completed build transfers to you once it’s paid for in full, before that, it remains ours. Third-party components, libraries and stock assets stay under their own licences. Where a plan includes a support window (for example 12 months on the Business site), it covers fixes and minor updates, not new features or a redesign.
8. Consulting
Consulting is delivered as hourly sessions, a full strategy day, or a retainer (around two days of work per month). Sessions are booked by agreement. Retainer time is for the month in which it’s provided and doesn’t roll over unless we agree otherwise.
9. Refunds & cancellation rights
One-off build and consulting work is bespoke: once we’ve started, fees for work already done are non-refundable, and deposits secure your slot. Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime but aren’t refunded for the remainder of a paid period. Nothing here removes any statutory rights you have as a consumer; if you believe a service was faulty or not as described, contact us and we’ll put it right.
10. Service availability
We work hard to keep services online and use a global CDN and DDoS protection, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service. We may carry out maintenance, and occasional downtime can happen. You’re responsible for keeping your own backups of content you upload or that we deliver to you.
11. Third-party software
Some services rely on third-party software, including AzuraCast, the optional StereoTool audio-processing add-on, and Stripe. Your use of these is also subject to their respective licences and terms.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that can’t be limited by law. Subject to that, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
13. Termination
You can stop using our services at any time by cancelling. We may suspend or end a service if you breach these terms, don’t pay, or use the service unlawfully. On termination, your right to use the service ends; we’ll give you a reasonable opportunity to export your content where practical.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
15. Changes & contact
We may update these terms from time to time; the “last updated” date shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions? Email hello@oadio.com.
